Pick the shape, then the tint

Square and rectangular frames make up the largest group, with cat-eye and oversized designs next; oval, butterfly, round, shield, pilot and wraparound styles fill in the rest. If you want coverage, start with the oversized and shield frames; for a sharper line, look at the rectangles and cat-eyes.

Lens finish changes the look as much as the frame does. Most pairs here carry a solid tint, a smaller group is gradient, and a further group is mirrored, usually in gold or silver tones. Grey and brown are the most common lens colors. Polarization varies by model, so read the listing instead of assuming a dark tint is polarized.
